Happy Birthday Colt!

My sweet baby Colt had his 1st birthday on the 11th. He has honestly been the most perfect baby, and it has been so much fun watching him learn and grow into a busy, curious little toddler. He is in love with his big brothers and follows their every move. He is a lover of bubbles, balls and music, and will dance to anything he hears! He keeps us laughing all day long. We love you Colt!

We had just a little party and took him to Kangaroo zoo to celebrate! Lots of fun!!

I am back to review pretty much the last 5 months or so. I hate that I do this. I will catch up someday. Don't hate.

So Champ is in Kindergarten and LOVES it. He is so bright! He seriously teaches me new things everyday. He also was in Soccer this year for the first time and had a blast!

Now for a HOLIDAY review...

June 23rd two years ago, was one of Champ's most favorite days ever!! He had waited so patiently for a little brother to come along. His dreams came true that day and he has been the happiest, greatest big brother since. Kasper has been a wonderful, fun, sweet, hilarious, blond hair, blue eyed addition to our little family.

We spent his birthday at the day at the zoo with some friends and family. Then we headed over to a great friends house to swim, have pizza, cupcakes and presents. I love you Kasper! Your the best little 2 year old a mommy could ask for.

I really don't know what my problem is. I go through phases where I try to keep up on my posts..and then I will go like 7 months with....NOTHING. Well I am back once again to give it a shot. A LOT has happened from my last post..here is the fast/short version. (and a major picture OVERLOAD!)
Feb-Bobby turned 31, his wonderful Mother Betty came to visit us from Texas for a little over a week. We love our Nana Betty. It was so fun having her around. March- I turned 26, we had a GREAT Easter and my sister Randi and her sweet little boys came for a visit. It's fun with 5 grandboys! April- Champ turned 5 and we said goodbye to beautiful Alpine, and moved up North to Layton. We really love it!! (Having his party with some friends at Kangaroo zoo!) (taking cupcakes to school)
May- I got a really fun opportunity and was asked to be a judge at a dance competition with my friend Tasha in vegas! So we took our hubbies and made a weekend out of it! It was a blast!
June-Aug- Included the most wonderful summer activities!! Here is a recap of just SOME of the summer fun we had! It was a GREAT summer! (I think my favorite with the kids so far!)

There were showers, and girls nights... Weddings... Fun in the sun.... Lots of trips to the park... Birthday parties... Trips to the duck pond..Four wheeling... Camping... Fishing...Yard work... Drive-ins..... Summer concerts.... Bike rides and off roading... Boondocks.... Golfing... Farmers markets.. Rodeos... And we ended the summer with an AMAZING trip to Lake Powell! It really was a perfect summer. I am sad to see it end but look forward to the fun fall festivities.

Champ is our little social butterfly. He LOVES interacting with his friends at school, church, and around the neighborhood. He is great at making new friends. Well the past couple of week we have run into a problem that he never had before. He discovered how cute a couple of little girls were in his class at school. He came home a couple of weeks ago telling us that he had a girlfriend named Taya and that they played all the time together and that they are going to get married. He would tell me all the time how beautiful she was. I thought it was cute but didn't think to much of it. Well this week he came up to me and said, "Mom, I have a little problem, Taya AND Chloe BOTH want to marry me, what should I do??!" I laughed and said, "Honey, you have a VERY long time before you have to think about getting married. You don't have to worry about it until after you go on your mission." He looked shocked, and said, "But mom, it's a HUGE decision, I need to think about it now!"

He cracks me up. This week he has been taking a little plastic ring to school everyday and has been letting the girls take turns wearing it, and then at the end of the day he gets it back from them. SO random and weird...he told me today that the girls started fighting over who wants to marry him the most. I asked him what he does while they fight and he says he doesn't say anything. He says he just sits back and listens! ha ha! Who knew my little Champ was such a heart throb! Silly boy.

Kasper is 20 months, and is getting so big! He cracks us up everyday. Of coarse he likes to do everything his older brother does. He loves trying to pee in the toilet when Champ needs to go and sometimes actually does. Well today while Champ was at school, he came up to me and said,"Mommy....POOP!" Usually he tells me when he has already gone, but today I realized he hadn't gone yet so we ran to the bathroom and I put him on the POT and he actually WENT!!! I was SO surprised!!! He was so excited, gave me a high five and called his grandpa to tell him the good news. I am so thrilled! I hope this is the start of some great potty times! (too bad I just bought a HUGE thing of diapers from Costco the other day)

RECAP of the EPISODE:
Gia's hometown was first, and she decides that the best way to see New York is by boat? Really? I have to disagree but what do I know? I'm a California girl. Anyway, they have an impromptu photo shoot (probably because they were on a boat tour of NYC and weren't seeing anything new) which was...normal. But, hey abc, do you think I'm some sort of fool? If you're going to show us their snapshots, actually show us their snapshots-otherwise we can do without the camera noises and the fake photos.

After the boat ride they head to meet Gia's guido family. Was her step brother Erick one of Snookis boyfriends on the Jersey Shore? I was hoping he would break out a fist pump. A little disappointed that we weren't able to see their house or were never introduced to the little brother? Who was that kid? All in all, Gia is the hottest in her family, although her mom does have a GREAT set of legs.

After New York, Jake flew (on the wings of love, I'm sure) to MA to meet Alli and her family. As soon as they are reunited alli starts talking about her dead grandma. Who else besides me thought that maybe she was going to take him to a
Cemetary? Phew! She didnt, but they did however go visit her grandmas ghost at her old house. I hate to be insensitive but that was weird. She mentioned her grandma was crying tears of happiness for her and Jake after she "met" him, which is sweet of a ghost to do, since they usually just haunt.

Allie's family seems normal. I had to keep telling myself that they live in MA and not one of the old Provo houses south of campus that I lived in (Seriously, that kitchen is straight off of 5th north and 2nd east).

Next stop, Oregon! Are Tenley and Jake not a match made in heaven? And how cute was her little skirted pea coat/target rain boots combo? I was loving her playful little outfit. I generally love Tenley but she's a liar-your husband NEVER saw you dance and you're a dancer? Was your husband blind?I really find that hard to believe otherwise. But bAck to the dancing, if it were anyone else I would say "save the weird private lyrical recital" for a time without the cameras, but since it's Tenley it was kind of sweet, right?

Tenley really is sweet. My "staffer" friend has been telling us that since the beginning. Well now we know where she gets it from! How cute was her dad? Oh man that fam is perfectly nice. The cheese just oozes and it's perfectly acceptable because you know it's sincere. If Jake doesn't pick this girl he's insane.

After the best hometown date of the night, Jake flew to the bayou to meet Vienna's family. Everyone of the girls dresses fine and mostly always adorable...especially on these hometown dates-really appropriate, and Vienna...well, her outfit was expected. Daisy dukes, a pink bathing suit top, a wife beater and a drapey off the shoulder tshirt...do they only have Clothestime and Wet Seal in Sanford, FL? She was dressed for the occasion I guess...a jungle cruise. The most hilarious part about this portion of the show was that Jake said "Vienna is so natural" uhh what part? Her hair? Boobs? Skin color? Or were you talking about her nose...? Cause I'm pretty sure that's the only thing left that's au natural.

Viennas family is just that...Vienna's family. I read this week that her mom is a topless dancer...yikes. Her dad awkwardly walked in on them kissing which was obviously staged. Whatever I'm over Vienna. WHY IS SHE STILL ON?

NOW THE GOLD OF THE EPISODE, the rose ceremony. This rose ceremony was filmed just steps from my work at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel so I was excited to see it on tv...however the filming was in the middle of the night. That's right folks, insider info: the rose ceremonies are taped way late. Allie's emotional breakdown took place between 2 and 3am...and my staffer was one if 20-30 people in the room for Jake and alli's "private talk." the "staffer" says that Alli was crying and pouting for a good hour and a half before she finally made a decision. He didn't however know if she had just got out of a convertible on the freeway or a tornado with that hair...wow girl you looked like you just ran a marathon with that hair.

The end for Alli? I bet she's back next week, in the same fashion as Ed.

here are a some other items that made me giggle.

pucca shells? rastafarian pucca shells? seriously?! WHAT IS YOUR PROBLEM, JAKE! GET A GRIP, YOU CHEESY TOOL! (sorry.. had to get that off my chest.)
"i've got her back" (re: gia) whats with the "got her back" talk?! was he trying to smack ghetto while talking to her mafia fam?
love how gia's clearly NOT from new york. she's evidently from a bourough... the staged restaurant situation was very strange.
step brother (aka. sonic the hedgehog). doesn't gia own a salon?! yikes.
i'm always amazed when parents question the process- really?! you KNOW your daughter went on the bachelor, right? why are you drilling him about the 3 (or 4-as vienna's slick academic dad put it) other ladies he's dating.
ali's walk. enough said.
i appreciate her attempt to do her hair on the hometown, but really? straight with curling iron tight ends? sad.
appreciated jakes Massachusetts costume.... pea coat. duly noted.
did they really spend 3-4 min talking about the leaves before spontaneously (staged) frolicking and wishing on them? yes. they did.
ali thoughtfully matched her jeans to those hideous blue cabinets in mom's kitchen.
where are the dads?! did anyone mention gia or ali's dads? where were they?!
wasn't it classy that when ali dropped the L-bomb on J, he thoughtfully pulled off his gloves in slow-mo then groped her face with his sweaty glove hands when he planted one on her?
then did you notice that the next cut was of him kissing her with the gloves on?! magic!!!
i think we have a new nickname: "tenley left-eye-lopez" . i saw that left eye from under the hair the entire episode.....
ooook. that dance creeped me out in the most fundamental way. however, i really do think T meant it sincerely (unlike all of the rest of the ladies.)
t and j are the only choice. they'll be mr. and mrs. boring cheeseball, but at least they're on the same page.
tenley gave jake an "inside to her soul." bhh.
vienna is white trash. confirmed.
and she got a healthy dose of botox in the forehead pre-hometown.

notice that jakie brought out his southern drawl to meet the dad?
according to v's mom (who must have pushed her out at a young age), she has "went thru this her entire life"....... probably cause she never learned correct english?

ali's breakdown was comical..but my favorite part was when she walked down the hall, wailed like a cow in heat, hit the floor and looked back to see if the cameras were on her.
ali, WHAT were you wearing at the rose ceremony?! you looked like tacky malibu skipper had her head rubbed into the carpet by somebody's big brother.
also, when you cry, keep your legs together. we don't want to see that.
grateful for jakes signature lean-to on the brass railing after ali left.

i'm really going to work on ali's limo monologue for my next audition: " what did i do?....... how could i have left him?"

last week was plaid week for dear jakie. this week, we saw every leather jacket anyone has ever produced and even were treated to the DOUBLE v-neck. (thanks to the hs gf's , i realized why i can't tolerate jake- he reminds me of the cheeseball who broke my 16 yr old heart. broke me. now i'm SOOOOO glad that didn't work out... still makes me despise jake. sorry jake.)

My little sister Makinzie got engaged lastnight to her boyfriend Chad. It was super cute. He told her he was taking her to a special preview of the new movie Valentines Day...but it was really a slide show of pictures of them with cute love songs playing along. Then he had her stand up and the lights came on and he got on his knee. The theater was filled with family and friends! She was totally surprised! CONGRATS you little love birds!

Colt McCoy is finally here!!

So I was scheduled to be induced Monday the 11th, a week before I was actually due because I had been walking around dilated at a 4 for almost 3 weeks and I was super miserable. Having bad contractions for days on end. I was nervous about being induced, but I was so totally over being pregnant and that uncomfortable. But Colt was awesome and knew how nervous I was and so at 2:30 am the day of the induction, he decided he would come on his own! I woke up right at 2:3o with a super strong contraction and I knew right then that it was the real deal. I got up, brushed my teeth, got my bag together and woke up Bobby. We got to the hospital at about 3:15. I was dilated to a 5 1/2....15 minutes later I was at a 7 1/2....HOLY CRAP it was moving fast and I was sorta freaking out. This labor was by far the most painful. I thought that my midwife did a great job of trying to keep me distracted and get through the pain okay, but i'm sorry, it was still hell. Lucky for me, it didn't last too long. It was just super intense, but all worth it when he made his grand entrance at 5:23 am. 7.2 lbs 18 1/2 inches and so adorable. A good mix of his older brothers I think. Champ and Kasper are so good with him and couldn't be happier to be big brothers.

I was in so much pain, I couldn't fake a smile....

AWESOME BIG BROTHERS!!

RUSSELL REALITY....

I will admit that I love reality TV. Bobby thinks I am a little lame sometimes when I get worked up over other peoples lives that may or may not be scripted, but whatever...I like it, and he still likes me so it works. :)

However I have been so disappointed in a few of the ending results on some of these shows!

EXAMPLES....

I totally think that THIS Russell should of won SURVIVOR...I like the girl that won, but HE played such a BETTER game!!! At the start of the show I hated him. He was evil, but he was smart and totally deserved it.

THIS Russell on the other hand should NOT of won SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE. Sorry...but Katherine should of won this one I thought...oh well...life goes on.

November 29th, was mine and Bobby's 4 year anniversary. We got to celebrate by going to a Jazz game. It was awesome though because Bobby was lucky enough to get an AWESOME deal on VIP front row tickets. These tickets were over $700 bucks each people! It was so fun! We even got to eat this super yummy dinner in the VIP lounge thing and got all the free food and drinks we wanted. We totally felt cool for those few hours. We were having such a great time we were lame and forgot to take pictures of us...how lame right??! Well it was a blast and we topped it with a movie and as always Bobby spoiled me with some super nice gifts. I am so lucky to be married to such a great guy. I love you babe!!

ON TO DECEMBER........

This month I have felt so busy. Getting ready for the baby, working part time (from home), parties and field trips with Champ's school, Christmas shopping, Christmas parties, achievement day stuff (for church)...You know the drill...December gets CRAZY...But I will try to do better and post more often.

I only have about 4 weeks until baby Colt joins us...I feel like I have a lot I still need to do cause I keep putting it off, but for some reason (sad to admit) I am not so motivated. When I was pregnant with Kasper I was so excited. I was rearranging his little nursery about 3 times a day, rewashing his tiny clothes, packing and repacking my hospital bag like 3 months before he was even due. This time around, I haven't even started anything. I have managed to get the baby clothes and car seat out of storage and that's about it. Maybe its the 3rd child thing...or maybe it's because I was JUST doing all this stuff only a little over 1 year ago. Yeah...I am sure that's it. Now I have 2 little kids tugging and pulling me in every direction, and it's hard to start anything new. Don't get me wrong...WE are SUPER excited for the little one to get here....(my body is especially excited) I am just dang tired this time.

We were super lucky to get to go to a live nativity in our neighborhood. It was beautiful and so special for the boys. They both loved it. They got to see a bunch of animals and people dress in costumes showing what life was like when Jesus was born. Champ loved seeing baby Jesus and wanted to give him a kiss. Kasper loved the carolers singing beautiful Christmas songs out side of the barn. It was a magical, spiritual evening topped with a fresh blanket of snow. Perfect Christmas night.

My little sister Natalie left for a small little village in Africa last week to teach to the deaf children. She is going to be an amazing teacher and friend to those little ones she meets. We miss her dearly already. Your always in our thoughts and prayers Nat!! We love you!

A few weeks ago was "Ride or Walk to School Day". Champ's school asked everyone to ride a bike, scooter, or walk to school. It was super fun! They had the school mascot out, fun music playing, and the firemen came to give tips on bike safety (good thing my son didn't have his helmet on huh? I am such a good mom) They got lemonade and a cool light to put on the tire of his bike. He had a blast at his first "school" activity.

I love love fall...I already got all my halloween decorations out and am anxious to start making apple crisp, corn bread, and homemade chicken noodle soup. I put all the summer clothes up and brought out the fall/winter ones, now I need to start some sewing projects and get a yummy pumpkin candle or something.

Bobby's niece and nephew Hayden and Bella came to visit last weekend and the kids had a blast! We haven't seen them in over 2 years so it was much overdue. Champ and Hayden were great buddies and it was so much fun having a little girl around for once.

Back to school

Champ headed back to school today. Last year he attended a little private preschool down the street but this year I enrolled him at the elementry school for their preschool program. He couldn't wait!! He has been dying to go back.

Bobby and I found this at Gardiner Village last weekend when we went out to dinner there. It was a ugly brown so I painted it teal/aqua and now I love it! It looks kind of light blue in the pictures. I will post more pictures when I get it up on the wall. I am going to put it in our room cause we have lots of teal in there.

On Saturday we took the boys and Champ's friend Jack to the monster truck show. It was a blast! We met up with our good friends Ammie and Paul and their cute boys. Champ's favorite truck was BLUE THUNDER!! I was super surprised but Kasper LOVED it! I think he liked it more then Champ. (Champ was more excited about riding the rides at the carnival after) I think we will have to go every year!

We rode a few rides at the carnival after and then had lunch..the boys were being so cute all together!

I actually made something.....thanks to my friend Ammie for kicking me in the butt to get started and helping me, I made 2 cute bags for my mom and sister! They are by no means amazing...but I finally used the sewing machine Bobby got me LAST YEAR!!!

We have a rule in the family that while Kasper is up and around Champ can't play with any of his tiny toys that Kasper can get to and potentially choke on. He totally knows this but will still ask once in a while. Well today he asked if he could get out his marble set and play with it in the living room....all I did was make this face and say, "What does this face mean??" (sick face I know...)

So like an hour later I asked him what he wanted for lunch and he wanted me to give him a couple of options. So I said, "Do you want meatballs?" (I had made some for someone the night before and had some leftover.) All he did was make this face and said, "What does this face mean mom?"

I have been needing to update this for a long time now. I need to rewind and fill you all in on what we have been up to. The most exciting thing that happened was Kasper's birthaday on June 23rd. We went to Kangaroo zoo and out to lunch then went to pick out his gift. He is such a joy to have in our family. He loves his big brother and tries to be just like him. He is into everything and loves making us laugh. It is so fun to have 2 boys with such different personalities. I knew from the day he was born that they were going to be total opposites and they really are, but it makes everything all the more fun and exciting.

A DAY OUT WITH THOMAS!

For memorial day this year we totally surprised the boys and took them to a day out with Thomas. Champ has basically been obsessed with Thomas the train for about 3 years now and we have never gone. So we thought that it was about time! It was so much fun! They both loved it! I was lame and forgot to charge my camera so I didn't get a TON of pictures but at least I got a couple of good ones.

It's summer time! Champ had an end of the year school picnic with his cute little class. They had a blast playing games, doing crafts, roasting mallows and hotdogs, and hanging out with buddies. Champ loved that Grandma and Grandpa got to be his special guests too!

A few weeks ago I was going through some of Champs old clothes to see if Kasper could fit into any of them. I pulled out a pair of overalls that Champ loved when he was little and said, "these look like they will fit Kasper." Champ jumped and ran over to them saying,"But mommy! Those are my super special overalls that I love so so much! They are mine!" I laughed and tried to explain to him that there is NO way they would still fit him, that he is 4 and that these are for babies. However, he insisted on trying them on to prove me wrong. And what happened???? TA DA! They still fit!! I could not believe it and could not stop laughing! My little Champie.

So, a couple months ago I got upset with Champ for something that I can't even remember. However, it was a big enough deal that he was grounded from the TV or any movies for the day. He didn't throw a fit, but instead talked is dad into helping him make a new cardboard box TV. He drew pictures on in and even made a remote. He placed it right next to our regular TV and "watched" it for HOURS people! He is so funny and stubborn. I love it!

While at Costco today, I swear I almost ran into like 5 people. I totally didn't realize it would be so crowded with all of the kids home from spring break. There were kids EVERYWHERE.... they were leaping out in front of me all over and I almost just hit one on purpose because I swear he ran in front of me to be funny. Those carts at Costco are HUGE and hard to navigate normally, and even more so when you are dodging millions of children! Needless to say, by the time we were walking out to the car I was so annoyed that I said to Champ, "You wanna know what really FRUSTRATES me? When people don't watch where they are going!!" Then he looked up at me with the cutest wide eyes and said, "Well you wanna know what frustrates me mom? When Kasper tries to mess up my train tracks that I make." I was totally caught off guard a little that he actually got what I was talking about and was contributing to the conversation! I couldn't be annoyed anymore, I just told him that it's okay to be frustrated sometimes, but that we need to do our best to be happy and stay positive.

Well I thought that that would of been the end of that conversation. Boy was I wrong. The whole 20 minute ride home he proceeded to let me know of all the things that frustrate him. (he stated these things off without any pause in between...he didn't have to even THINK about them. I am not kidding!)

Things that frustrate CHAMP: (These are the ones I can remember)

1. When Kasper pulls my hair

2. When a friend at school calls me small

3. When I have to go to the bathroom when I am playing

4. When mom is not patient with me (I swear he said that)

5. When I can't find Thomas (the train)

6. When I can't play with my friends

7. When I have to be in a booster seat cause I am 4 now

6. When people forget I am 4 now (it's only been 2 weeks!)

7. When mom has to wash my blankie

8. When mom washes my hair

9. When Kasper hits me

10. When I have to listen to mom's girlie music and not dad's rock n roll!

I couldn't believe that he was so frustrated about so many things, he really never complains. I guess it was good for him to let it out. The funny thing is, was that all of those things are real complaints that would frustrate me too! He amazes me sometimes. I love him so much and am so lucky that he is my little buddy. Things are never boring with Champ around. He always has something to talk about! :)

Champ Is 4!!

Our little Champ is not so little anymore. He turned 4 on the 5th. We started off the birthday celebration by getting his pictures taken, then headed to the kids museum. Both he and Kasper had a BLAST!! Once the kids were worn out we went home for a pizza party and watched one of his new Thomas movies. It was the perfect family day!

The next day we had a little birthday party for him. Bobby was so cute and decorated everything, picked out presents, and got the cake and ice cream. What a great daddy! Then finally on sunday (his actual birthday) we went to my Grandma's house for another little party. Her and Champ share birthdays so most of the family was there to celebrate. It was fun to see everyone. Happy Birthday Grandma and Champ!!

It has already been a year. We were sealed together as a family one year ago on March 22nd in the Salt Lake temple. (I am late posting this) It was by far the best day of my life! It was so special to have Champ there with us, it made everything even more amazing. I am so grateful for my wonderful husband and for our two amazing boys. There is no other little family that I would want to spend forever with. I will always remember that day and how loved and grateful I felt and how strong the spirit was. Thanks to all of our family and friends who were there with us for our best day EVER!

Kasper is getting so BIG! He is a lot bigger then Champ was at 9 months. In fact, in these pictures Champ is one year and Kasper is 8 1/2 months and they have on the same shirt! It's still funny how different they look. (oh and yes...Champ was eating dirt...)

Champ had his first real sleep over last week with his great pal Wyatt. They had a blast playing together and then watching a movie with popcorn. They were so cute when it was time to go to bed. They put out the sleeping bags and told each other bed time stories until they feel asleep. It was so funny. We will have to do it again sometime.

The other night the boys were playing together and Kasper was totally CHEEZIN every time we said hi to him. He totally looked like a little old man...It was so funny! I tried to capture a little of it on video but didn't get very much.So I put a few pictures up too. (Don't mind his nasty cough...and the fact that he is 5 feet up on a bunk bed...Bobby was right there to catch him I swear)

OK...I am over trying to fill everyone on the past and I am just going to pick up where we are now....

SO we are still here in Alpine and still loving it. However...it's too cold....and i'm ready for spring, or lets make it summer please...

The boys are doing great, Champ is loving preschool and hanging out with friends whenever possible. Kasper is almost 8 months and is trying so hard to follow his brother's every move already. It's so cute!

We had a pretty simple Valentines day. Bobby's birthday was a couple days before so we celebrated friday night. We went to dinner and then shopping to get the boys a little valentines gift. Bobby totally spoiled me (like always) and got me a bunch of cute stuff from a little boutique that I love! It was fun. I am so lucky to have been able to spend a wonderful day with my favorite boys!

March 10th we moved into a new basement apartment in Alpine. In fact, it is only like 6 houses away from my parents. Champ totally LOVES being that close to grandma and grandpa and likes to take walks over there all the time. Its a really cute basement apartment that is plenty big for us. The best part about it, is that our super good friends live upstairs! We love Cody and Natalie and their cute kids. Their little boy Jack is only 3 days younger then Champ. It's like having a built in buddy at all times! SO fun! They play together all the time and get along great... most of the time.

The holidays

Thanksgiving was as wonderful as always. My sister Randi, her husband Craig, and their little boy Kaleb came into town, so we had the whole Nordstrom clan at grandma and grandpas. We had an amazing dinner and then ALL of the Nordstrom extended family came over for yummy pies and icecream. It was so nice to be around all the family.

A few days later, Bobby and I celebrated our 2 year anniversary. We had a really nice night. We went and had dinner at the Roof restaurant on top of the Joseph Smith memorial building. After dinner we went and walked around temple square to see all of the beautiful Christmas lights, then topped it off with a movie! It was nice to spend the evening together and reflect on how far we have come and how much more in love we were after 2 years.

Christmas was wonderful as always. It was simple yet special, and we had a great time sharing it with loved ones.

For halloween last year Champ really wanted to be shrek. For a long time that movie was his absolute favorite! He looked so cute!

We were so mean, and put Champ into his little cousin Kaleb's costume..he HATED it, but was a really good sport.

So after spending the summer in Austin, we packed up the fam again and headed back to utah. We moved into my parents for a while to save money and find a place to live. My family loved having Champ around 24/7!

In october we were able to go spend about 3 days at my aunts BEAUTIFUL townhouse in montana with some of my family. It was a blast! We went on a little hike in the mountains, it was super fun.

While in Texas, my mom flew Champ and I out to California for a little over a week to go on the BIG camping trip that my side of the family goes on every other year. Bobby couldn't take off work so he wasn't able to make it. We had a blast but missed Daddy...

I look a little gross in this picture, but we were so excited and proud to catch all these fish in the middle of the night!! It looks like we are making the number 12, but it was really 21!! Thats a lot of fish! GO US!

I thought that I would actually give this a real try this time. I really need to sum up so much that has happened over the past year before I forget everything that has happened!

I guess I will start off with last summer when we packed up the family and moved to Austin Texas for about 4 months. Bobby got a summer job offer in Texas and we thought it would be really fun because ALL of his family lives there. We were excited to live next to his side of the family for once. It was fun getting to know his parents, siblings, cousins, grandparents, aunts, uncles a little better. EVERYONE on his side lives there, so family get togethers were crazy but super fun! Here are some pictures of the summer while we were there.
